Arthritis

Arthritis, which comes in different forms, is inflammation of the joins. Osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and gout are the three most common form of arthritis among seniors. Many non-steroid anti-inflammatory based medicines are prescribed to patients suffering from arthritis. The problem with such medicines is that, in the long term, they may harm gastrointestinal and renal function. acupuncture has been found to be effective in treating various types of arthritis.

Acupuncture increases the blood flow to various parts of the body by allowing the positive Chi energy to flow freely through all the meridians or channels of energy in the body. The increased blood flow results in reduction of inflammation at the joints, which is one of the leading causes of pain in arthritis patients. In addition, Modern medical technology has revealed that the insertion of acupuncture needles causes measurable physiological changes like the release of pain-relieving beta-endorphins in surrounding tissue. The arthritis patients thus feel much better after an acupuncture session.

Acupuncture has another major benefit, which is to strengthen the body's immune system. For patients suffering from arthritis, whether it is arthritis of the hand, shoulder, hip, knee, back, we treat the body as a whole, instant of just treating the obvious symptoms. A lot of arthritis patients suffer from rheumatoid arthritis or psoriatic arthritis, which are  autoimmune disorders. Hence, our treatments not only focus on controlling the painful symptoms of arthritis, but also on balancing the immune system.we aims to correct both the external and internal causes of arthritis.

At same time, acupuncture also helps relieve related symptoms and consequences of arthritis like sleeping problems, fatigue and depression. Thus, acupuncture is the ideal therapy for people suffering from arthritis. At same time, acupuncture also helps relieve related symptoms and consequences of arthritis like sleeping problems, fatigue and depression.
