It is widely known that acupuncture is great treatment tool for muscle pain. It is also powerful for cancer-related pain. 

Many clinical trials done about it by scientist all over the world, including China, Hongkong, France,German, England and United States.

Acupuncture is effective for control of pain, of local swelling post-operatively, for shortening the resolution of hematoma and tissue swelling and for minimizing use of medications and their attendant side effects. Energetic acupuncture, an approach consisting of the use of needles with electricity and moxibustion (a form of local heating with herbs imparts a sense of well being and accelerates patients' recovery.

That acupuncture is a powerful tool for general pain control is widely known. . Less known is its success use in some cancer-related pain and in reducing narcotic use and thereby minimizing the side effects confusion, disturbed mentation, behavioral changes, nausea and severe constipation. 

Nausea and vomiting which commonly occurs during chemotherapy  can often be aided by acupuncture and Chinese medicines.Of all the investigated effects of acupuncture on cancer-related or chemotherapy-related symptoms and disorders, the positive effect of acupuncture on chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (N/V) is the most convincing, as demonstrated by the consistency of the results of a variety of clinical study types, including randomized clinical trials, nonrandomized trials, prospective consecutive case series, and retrospective studies Its effectiveness helps in minimizing the use of standard, expensive multi-drug anti-nausea regimens with their attendant side effects, given along with the chemotherapeutic agents. 

Surgery, chemotherapeutic and radiation therapy can not kill the cancer cell by 100 percent, so boost immune system and restore body's nature cancer-fighting mechanism is very important for cancer patients to maintain remission. 

Acupuncture can enhance platelet count and prevented leukocyte decrease after radiation therapy or chemotherapy. Experiment also show that leukocyte phagocytosis was enhanced after 3 times daily acupuncture treatments and  NK cell activity were significantly increased in the acupuncture group.

• A 2008 study published in The International Journal of Radiation Oncology found that acupuncture is also effective at treating a variety of other side effects of cancer treatments as well, including hot flashes, depression, and night sweats. ( Read more)
• Acupuncture may ease cancer-related fatigue. A 2012 study on 227 patients found that women who attended six weekly acupuncture sessions had greater improvements in fatigue as well as anxiety, depression and quality of life, compared to those who only received educational materials. Read more.
