Zhihong Shang is Licensed Acupuncturist in Connecticut and she is nationally board certified as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine by the National Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She is specializes in acupuncture, Chinese herbology, and a variety of other Chinese medical modalities geared towards promoting patients' optimal physical and emotional health.

Zhihong was born and grew up in China. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Chinese Medicine at the Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. After she came to the United States, she received her Master of Science degree in Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado. Her training  include acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, western pathology and pharmacology, oriental physical therapy and nutrition. Her background enables her to tailor Chinese medical wisdom to the needs of American patients. 

She founded Clove Tree Community Acupuncture in 2011. 

As an acupuncturist, my goal is to help as many people as possible by providing affordable, effective treatment, as well as to educate the general public on the benefit of Chinese medicine. The idea of  prevention of disease and early treatment to prevent deterioration is the basic treatment principle in Chinese medicine. In other words, diseases should be prevented before they occur or try best to shorten the course of diseased if we get sickness. It is my vision to  help patients be aware of their own health condition, to get health problems treated at the beginning in a natural way, and to prevent disease by changing diet and life style, rather than let unsolved problems accumulate and then run for heavy pills.

Maricelli is a  licensed Massage Therapist  who has 16 years experience. 

Mariceli specializes in Deep Tissue, Trigger Point and Sports Massages, including stretching. She also is proficient at Swedish, Heated Stone, Prenatal, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Body Treatments. Also she’s certified in Myoskeletal Alignment and Graston Technique. Mariceli is also a Health Coach specialize in eating disorders and women self care.A Licensed Practical Nurse, Has Certifications in Nurses Aid, Business Management, CPR and First Aid, and is bilingual (English and Spanish).
